"I will never forget how I used to look for my grandpa’s car. It was a maroon colored Mercury, I think. I could see it from a couple of blocks away as I was walking home from school. When I saw the car, I started to run, I was so happy at the thought of seeing my grandparents. I loved them so much, and they adored me, too.
Thanks for bringing that back! " Dr. Lucinda Seares Monica, Psychologist, New Jersey
This wonderful comment really stirs my memory bank. For many of us grandparents play such a special part in our lives. They love us unconditionally and forever. They find delight in all of our ways and that means a lot growing up, particularly as our parents usually don’t seem to be quite as forgiving and accepting.
In my new book, THE TRUTH, I’m Ten, I’m Smart and I Know Everything! this is certainly true for the girl. She loves to be with her grandparents as they love her just the way she is. They even love the picture of her when her bangs were cut too short!
